2010 Advocacy & Kids' Summit
March 1-3, 2010, Washington, DC
The Advocacy & Kids' Summit is YOUR chance to tell Congress about the needs of adults and kids with arthritis. You will meet personally with your Members of Congress and their staff to share your personal story of living with arthritis and how it impacts your life. Everyone is invited!
Activity sessions are specifically created for kids who are currently in kindergarten through eighth grade. Kids in ninth through twelfth grades attend the training sessions with their parent(s). All kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who also registers for the Advocacy Summit.

Juvenile Arthritis Resources - College Scholarships
JA scholarship resources are available.
UCB, Inc., is once again awarding 31 scholarships to people diagnosed with RA and their immediate family members who are seeking an associate's, undergraduate or graduate, or who are enrolled in a trade school educational program. Arthritis Walk 2011 Calendar Art Contest
The Arthritis Walk National Volunteer Committee is conducting its annual Arthritis Walk 2011 Calendar Art Contest. Pictures drawn by kids with arthritis will be placed in the 2011 Arthritis Walk Calendar. Volunteers will choose a winning picture for the calendar cover. The winner of the contest and all other artists will be notified by the Arthritis Foundation National Office; calendars will be available for purchase at the JA conference and through www.arthritis.org.
Contest Details:
- The theme is "Movement is the Best Medicine - Let's Move Together"
- The drawing must fit on a standard 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper
- Any child under the age of 18, living with arthritis, is eligible to enter
- Please include your name, age, address, phone number, photo, and bio with your drawing
- All entries must be postmarked by April 1, 2010
