Joints in Motion
Joints in Motion is designed to guide people of all ages and fitness levels through an extensive training program to complete a marathon, triathlon or a challenging hike. You will raise funds to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. We will train you to complete your endurance event of choice and send you to an exciting destination. Together we will help improve the quality of life for millions of men, women and children with arthritis.
The Training Program
Anyone can be a member of our team! You don't have to be a seasoned athlete or any kind of athlete at all! Approximately 80% of Joints in Motion athletes have never completed a marathon, triathlon or a challenging hike before, but with our careful guidance and encouragement, nearly all of them go the distance and complete an endurance event.
Our seasoned coaches offer 20-week training sessions in most areas that include detailed training schedules, weekly group walks, runs, bikes, or swims, and ongoing support to increase endurance and improve ones strategy. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend clinics to learn more about important subjects such as proper footwear, apparel, equipment, nutrition and the importance of stretching.
Travel to an exotic location
Once you have reached your fundraising goal, we will send you to the exotic location of your choice.
You will receive the following:
- Airfare
- Hotel accommodations
- Local transportation
- Race entry fee
- Carbo-loading dinner
- Celebration party
- Team gear
- Company of other athletes equally committed to this cause
We handle the details so all you need to worry about is getting in shape, raising funds for arthritis research, and experiencing the excitement of traveling to a great location.
Your participation in Joints in Motion allows you to honor someone living with arthritis, increase awareness of this disease and raise much-needed funds for research.
Whether this is your first endurance event or one of many, we guarantee to make it an experience you will always remember!
