Serving the areas of Sacramento, Modesto, Fresno and Reno, Nevada.

 

The Northeastern California Chapter serves the counties as far south as Kings, Tulare and Inyo, through the central valley including San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced, to the Northeastern portion including Sacramento, Yuba, Butte and as far north as Siskiyou and Modoc counties.  Our chapter also serves 12 counties in Northern Nevada including Carson City, Churchill, Douglas and Elko.

 

We offer a wide variety of programs and events throughout the Northeastern California/Northern Nevada region. If you do not find what you are looking for on this site, please call the chapter office. One of our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you.

Juvenile Arthritis Corner

Camp Milagros

The Northern California Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation sponsors Camp Milagros, a four day camp for children with arthritis and related conditions ages 8-13. This year's camp will be held at Valley of the Moon Camp in Glen Ellen, CA. Click here for more information.

Pen Pal Program

Do you like writing letters or sending emails? Would you like to connect with other kids with arthritis to share your experiences, strengths and hopes? The Arthritis Foundation offers the AJAO pen pal program for kids and teens with arthritis or related conditions. You will be matched with a boy or girl from another state! Sign up today!

2008 California Coast Classic Bike Tour

The Arthritis Foundation's Amgen California Coast Classic Bicycle Tour is a scenic bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. This unforgettable eight day ride includes stunning sunsets, rugged coastlines, twinkling canopies of stars, quiet beaches, lighthouses, redwood forests, famous wineries and world-class cities. Spanish Self-Help Instructor Course

Do you want to help those with arthritis and fibromyalgia learn to take control of their disease? A training to prepare individuals to become an Arthritis Foundation Spanish Self-Help Management Leader will be held in Sacramento on September 13 & 14, 2008. The training is underwritten by a grant from UC Davis CalAgrAbility Project. The registration fees and material costs are funded by the grant. ¿Te gustaría ayudar a aquellos que sufren de artritis y fibromialgia a cómo controlar su enfermedad? Tendremos un entrenamiento para individuos que quieran convertirse en Lideres de las clases en Español para la Fundación para la Artritis. Lideres son aquellos que tienen a cargo las clases que son parte del Programa de Auto-manejo sobre la artritis. El entrenamiento se llevará a cabo los días 13 y 14 de Setiembre del 2008, en Sacramento. El entrenamiento está auspiciado por UC Davis CalAgrAbility Project. Por tanto, el costo de registración y por los materiales serán pagados gracias a la donación que ellos han otorgado. Arthritis Awareness Presentations

Arthritis AwarenessDo you want a more complete understanding about what the Arthritis Foundation does? Ever wonder what goes on at our office on a day-to-day basis? What other programs are out there? How you can help?

 

If you've ever been curious about the people behind the programs, please come to one of our one-hour informational Arthritis Awareness presentations. These presentations are meant to give you an overview about what the Arthritis Foundation does to help people with arthritis and to provide an opportunity for you to meet staff and volunteers at the chapter office. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
