JAM is an upbeat, positive day for kids and families to raise awareness that kids get arthritis too. Individuals and teams are encouraged to participate and raise pledges to help fund the juvenile programs and services of the Arthritis Foundation North Central Chapter.

Juvenile Arthritis Family Network

The Juvenile Arthritis Family Network (JAFN) is a monthly meeting for families who have a child living with arthritis. The group meets at Shriners Hospital in Minneapolis on the second Saturday of every month (except for March, June, July, and August). Meetings are from 10 a.m. - noon and consist of speakers and discussion time for the parents and swimming and social time for the kids.

Camp M.A.S.H.

Camp M.A.S.H. (Make Arthritis Stop Hurting) is a six-day residential summer camp for children ages 9-17 who have some form of juvenile arthritis or related condition. Experienced professional and recreational staff work together to develop the camp program which places an emphasis on giving opportunities and allowing involvement in activities the camper may not otherwise experience. The camp is held at Camp Wawbeek, Easter Seal Center for Camping and Recreation in Wisconsin Dells, Wisc. For more information please contact the Chapter at 651-644-4108. Scholarships are available for campers based on financial need.
