Volunteer

Join The Movement and Volunteer for the one or all of the Arthritis Walks!

Here are some of the volunteer opportunities we have available.

 

 Set-up Helpers

- Help to set-up tents, tables, chairs and hang up signs

-  Able to lift and carry

 

Registration/Online Registration

- Check in participats, collect registration envelopes

- Seated

 

Table assignments (all seated)

- Volunteer check-in

-General information/lost & found

- Arthritis Foundation resource table

- Advocacy

 

Snack/Beverage Distribution

- Check in Waggers (dogs)

- Must be comfortable around dogs

- Must stand

 

Registration Area Guide

- Guide participants to the registration area from different locations outside and around the park

- Must stand and be able to walk

 

Water Distribution

- Distribute water at Start and Turnaround point

-  Must stand and be able to walk to turnaround and back to Start/Finish

 

Kids Zone Area

- Help with Kids Zone activities and Crafts

- Must Stand

- Monitors the children playing in the inflatable sports cage 

- Monitors the children playing in the inflatable sports cage (if any)

-  Must Stand

 

Rouse Marshal/Cheerleader

- Guide people in the right direction along the route

- Make sure the route is clean

- Cheer walkers along the route

- Must be able to stand and walk to and from Start/Finish

 

Sector Caption

- Must have prior experience as a route marshal

- Will have responsibility for area of route

 

Clean-up

- Pick up garbage on the ground

-  Help pick up tents, tables, chairs and signs

- Must be able to lift and carry
