Emmy nominated Tim Cassidy has been covering the Hudson Valley for more than 4 years.
Despite having grown up in New Hampshire, Tim has always considered New York home. His entire family is from Brooklyn.
Tim started his career behind the scenes at FOX 5 WNYW in New York City as the field operations coordinator but decided to follow his journalism career after helping provide week long coverage of the death of John F. Tim says, "Moving from the east village in Manhattan to Elmira was probably the biggest transition of my life, but it provided the platform to learn the tools of the trade." That job led to another at the FOX affiliate in Rochester New York where Tim covered such national stories like Pope John Paul ll's visit to Toronto, Hillary Clinton's run for senate and an interview with a former POW of the Vietnam War who shared a cell with Senator John McCain.
In the fall of 2004 Tim helped provide months of coverage for NBC affiliate, WBRE-TV, during the presidential election in Pennsylvania which was a battleground state between Jon Kerry and President Bush.
