We are pleased to inform you that we have posted an RFA (Request for Applications) on our website. Letters of Intent are required for all awards and are due by September 1, 2009. Funding will begin January 1, 2010.

New York Chapter Research Program
The New York Chapter also offers a series of fellowship award opportunities. Applicants for these awards must be conducting research within the Chapter 's twelve county regions.
Rheumatology Fellowship Award - $40,000 for one year
Application due February 13, 2009
Supports either biomedical or clinical rheumatology related research. It is intended for Fellows in their third or fourth year of training. Paper submission only.
Orthopaedic Fellowship Award - $50,000 for one year (July 2010 - June 2011)
Application deadline is September 17, 2009.
Supports clinical or biomedical research in the surgical treatment of arthritis. It is intended for Residents in their third or fourth year of training. Paper submission only
Summer Student Fellowship - $2,000 award
Application due May 1, 2009
Supports full-time research, with a minimum commitment of eight weeks, in the broad areas of rheumatic diseases and musculoskeletal conditions. It is intended for graduate level students in the fields of medicine, biomedicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, social work, psychology, and public health. Paper submission only.
