Despite a cool and misty day, over 500 people came out to Jenkinson’s to support the Walk. So far over $106,000 has been raised and more is coming in! The participants enjoyed music, food, massages, face painting and a great vendor display, not to mention really fun warm ups for the kids and adults! Perkey the Penguin and Buster made an appearance and there was a cheering group that couldn’t be beat! Thank you so much for all of your hard work! Together we can make a difference.
Beautiful Nomahegan Park in Cranford was the site for the first ever Union County Arthritis Walk this May 3rd. Over 250 walkers came together and raised almost $25,000 (and still counting!). Walkers strolled around the lake and returned to enjoy the music, food, and inflatable rides for the kids. Thanks to all who came out for a fun and successful morning!!!!
Almost two hundred individuals walked the windy Atlantic City boardwalk to show their commitment to a cure. Participants enjoyed massages, face painting, breakfast and music on the grounds of the historic Absecon Lighthouse. The County Executive issued a proclamation declaring May 3, 2008 “Arthritis Awareness Day” in Atlantic County! To date, over $30,000 has been raised and financial contributions are still being submitted. Thank you for your continued support of the Arthritis Foundation!
Our 2nd year in
The threat of rain did not stop over 700 people from participating in the 2008 Arthritis Walk in Verona Park. Those who attended were treated to a host of activities, including music, massages, vendors displays, and breakfast. Teens enjoyed our first time “teen tent” and the younger children enjoyed the balloon artists, face painters, “Make Your Own Garden” area and a Home Depot Kids Workshop. Then, along the route, that was themed “Building a Better Future”, all enjoyed eight different stations where they played games and made crafts. A great time was had by all who attended and over $100,000 was raised. A big thank you to all who supported the event for helping us make a difference!
Over three hundred individuals walked the scenic paths of Challenge Grove Park to show their commitment to a cure. Participants enjoyed face painting, breakfast, music and lots of sunshine! Actor and Arthritis Ambassador Dan Grimaldi emceed the event. To date, over $40,000 has been raised and contributions are still being submitted.

New site, fresh state of mine! This year the Middlesex County Walk will take place at the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park in South Amboy. Come and enjoy the warm breeze as you walk along the Raritan Bay walk way. There will be prizes and many more surprises.
Blue skies were overhead as over 300 people walked at Bergen Community College in honor of someone they love who lives with arthritis. Participants were treated to a host of activities, including music, massages, face painting, vendors displays, and breakfast. A terrific time was had by all who attended and over $65,000 was raised. Thank you to all who supported the event. Kudos to the volunteer committee on a job well done!
What a picture perfect, sunny, and beautiful day we had at the Morris/Sussex/Warren Arthritis Walk on June 1st at the Field of Dreams! Over 250 people came out that day to celebrate our heroes living with arthritis. More than 40 volunteers came out to ensure the Walk's success, including dozens of kids, teachers, and parents involved in the area's People to People group that are traveling to Alaska this summer. The Advocacy area was really well done and actually hosted a game which attracted many to visit. And the walk had a unique ending: the loud roar of motorcycles! Thirty two motorcycles arrived after a 90 mile run that left earlier that morning. This fundraiser, Jessie's Run, was hosted by a local car dealer, Hackettstown Ford. Thank you to everyone who came out and shared the wonderful day with us!!
