Essex County Arthritis Walk
The rain did not stop over 500 people from participating in the 2009 Arthritis Walk in Verona Park. Those who attended were treated to a host of activities, including music, vendor displays, and breakfast. Children enjoyed the balloon artists, face painters, and the “Make Your Own Garden” area. Then, along the route, that was themed “Let’s Move Together”, all enjoyed eight different stations where they “moved” in different ways, including: Hockey, Hip Hop, Basketball, Irish Dancing, Tae Kwon Do, and more! A great time was had by all who attended and over $80,000 has been raised to date. Thank you to all who supported the event. Every dollar we receive brings us one step closer to the ultimate goal: a world without arthritis.
