Michigan Chapter Juvenile Arthritis Programs

JUST 10 is the arthritis advocacy awareness campaign here in Michigan that was created to show people how little time it takes to make a difference. People often don’t know what’s expected of them, how much time it takes to be an advocate, or what advocacy is, so this is a way to show them.

Raising Awareness

Vicki Nicholls, a Michigan resident and an advocate and ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation was selected for a personal meeting with President Obama on July 14 at a Town Hall meeting regarding health insurance reform. Photo was taken at Macomb Community College.

Vicki was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when she was 18 months old although she had it since birth.   She has dedicated a great deal of her life over the last couple of years fighting to raise awareness of arthritis.
