Participating Fairfax County RECenters partnered with the Arthritis Foundation, Metropolitan Washington Chapter during the week of May 12th to educate the community about the benefits of aquatic exercise in preventing and controlling arthritis, the most common cause of disability in the nation. For one day, patrons were encouraged to participate in a morning aquatic program hosted by one of three participating locations, at no charge. The Arthritis Foundation was available all morning to answer questions, distribute free educational information and collect donations.
