Special Event Volunteers and Committee Members:
Serving on an event committee can be a rewarding experience. Volunteer committee members are an integral part of the event planning process. Use your existing talents while developing new ones and reap the rewards of a successful event! We are always looking for day-of volunteers and committee members for ongoing events. E-Volunteers:
With the advancement of technology, volunteers can make a difference without ever stepping into our office. These volunteer opportunities are excellent for those with busy schedules who still want to make a difference and prefer to work during non-office hours. Grant writing, graphic and web design, research, social networking and journalism are just a few ideas. AF Aquatic, Exercise, or Self Help Programs:
Participate in or become a certified instructor and teach the land exercise, aquatic, or self-help courses. These evidence-based programs are proven to reduce pain and improve arthritis control. Outreach:
Assist the education and community development departments plan, organize, and conduct outreach in order to distribute information in the community and answer questions regarding Arthritis Foundation programs and services. General Office Support:
Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient office environment is just as important as delivery programs and raising money. A variety of staff are always looking for help with filing, database management, phone banks, bulk mailings and other miscellaneous in-office support.
