What is the Arthritis Foundation - Greater Southwest Chapter Winterhoff Scholarship?
Collegiate scholarships are being offered at each public university in Arizona - Arizona State University,  Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona - commencing Fall 2010 and renewable up to three consecutive years.

What are the Application Requirements?
Applicants must have some form of diagnosed rheumatic disease and provide a Physician’s Certifying Statement.  Must be classified as a Full-Time Undergraduate or Graduate student and be willing to be involved in the Arthritis Foundation - Greater Southwest Chapter Winterhoff Scholarship publicity.

How Much is the Scholarship Award?
Up to $7,500 each academic year, to be disbursed to student university accounts in installments of $3,750 at the beginning of each semester.  The terms established by the donors require that scholarship funds be utilized only for tuition, books and supplies.  This scholarship is only availbe for the fall and spring semesters (not summer sessions).

What Are the Qualifications for Renewal?

Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).  Must be enrolled full-time each semester and have completed the full-time units in order to be eligible for renewal for the next academic year.  The scholarship is renewable up to three consecutive years. 

Must be willing to be involved in the Arthritis Foundation Scholarship publicity and agree to meet with the Arthritis Foundation officials in Phoenix.

When is the application deadline?
March 1, 2010 for the Fall 2010-Spring 2011 semesters.
