Elenna Roybal

My name is Elenna Roybal, I'm 11 yrs old, I live in Chamita, New Mexico, where I attend school at San Juan Pueblo Elementary School and I'm in 6th grade.  My favorite hobbies are dancing, swimming, playing basketball, and playing with my dogs and cheerleading.  I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 4 yrs old. I have gone through obstacles with kids teasing when I'm in pain.  It has helped me become a stronger and better person.  Living with this disease has given me great compassion for other kids like me that have the many different types of Arthritis besides JRA or any other kind of Kid Diseases that cause us kids lots of pain and sadness.

I am proud to be this year’s Honorary Chair!

Danielle Bryant

Danielle Bryant was born in Scottsdale, AZ. She currently lives in Phoenix, AZ with her significant other and their 4-year old son, Jack. Danielle has been living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) since her diagnosis in Tulsa, OK back in the spring of 1991. After a major battle in the mid 90's, she moved back to Arizona to start a new life and her sole mission to conquer the disease.

Danielle has been a personal trainer in the private sector for over eight years. She found the love of training shortly after she began the pursuit to control the disease and not allow the disease to control her. Through the years she has trained a number of people, both young and old, to help them find the path to their internal life achievement. I merely provide the tools and ignite the fire within each of them - they do the work to make it count she says. Danielle is the Director of National Construction for the Athletes' Performance and Core Performance Centers. Her primary role is to implement a seamless construction approach with a powerful building execution for various centers across the country.

In 2007, Danielle was featured in the April issue of the Fitness Plus Magazine called "Never Stop Moving Constant - exercise improves her life". You can read her early testimony about how RA affected her sports career in the book called Trials and Triumphs by Katie Morgan. In 2005, she was ranked among the top five Women in Construction for the state of Arizona. She was the recipient of the 2002 and 2003 Arizona Subcontractor Association (ASA) Project Manger of the Year 1st Runner Up Award and received an additional five nominations for this award since the year 2000. She has received many awards and accolades including the first female project manager nomination in history from the ASA.

Danielle's community efforts include starting the Make It Count For Dani annual fundraiser benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. In her first and second year, Danielle became the top fundraiser for the local Arthritis Foundation chapter. Danielle enjoys doing work for the community and believes that making a difference is what life is all about. She plans to continue to strive to bring awareness to the community about arthritis for years to come.

Maddie Cutcliffe and family

I'm Maddie Cutcliffe, this year's Honorary Chair of the Jingle Bell Run/Walk. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age one. Because of this, I was put into Early Intervention, a state funded therapy program, until I was three. I have had to go through pain, tears, and having to sit out of some physical activities I really enjoy.

I am interested in so many things, some of which are: playing the triple cello (with three pans) in a steel drum band, play piano, play soccer EVERY day at recess, and I play flute. I have acted in multiple musical productions at the gaslight theatre over the course of three years.

I love to swim everyday, and writing is my favorite thing to do in school (besides eat lunch). I am totally into art, and if music is playing, I am singing and dancing to it no matter what! All in all, I have had many challenges in life due to arthritis, but I can now say that I have conquered my arthritis in ways that most people would find impossible.

Come and walk with me and my family on December 5, 2009. Dress in costume or come as you are. I would love to see you there!

Peace out!

Maddie
