Start A Smileage Contest At Your Job!
The Arthritis Foundation, Great West Region “Smileage” Contest
In 2012, the Arthritis Foundation, Great West Region introduced the “Smileage” Contest to help all employees get in shape, stay in shape or raise the bar!
Randomly assigned teams of employees track their daily physical movement and earn smileys for every 30 minutes of exercise. Walk for thirty minutes and get one smiley – run for one hour, get two smileys – cycle for two hours and the reward is four smileys. The team with the highest number of smileys at the end of each month is awarded fabulous prizes by the Regional CEO (the head honcho). The results are friendly competition, increased camaraderie, teamwork and best of all, helping those living with arthritis.
The Arthritis Foundation, Great West Region serves over 2,996,000 people with arthritis in the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.
