Welcome!
Thank you for visiting our site and your interest in the Central Pennsylvania Chapter. The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
Nearly 46 million Americans--men, women, and even children, have one of the 100+ forms of arthritis. Our Chapter offers various programs and services to help people with arthritis cope with their disease. Free informational brochures are available to individuals. We also hold special events throughout the year, like the Arthritis Walk and the Jingle Bell Run, to raise money and awareness of this disease in the hopes of one day finding a cure.
Please contact us to find out more about how our programs and services can help you -- or how you can help others take control of their arthritis by volunteering today!
We need your help! Let your voice be heard.
Register to become an advocate today!
Grassroots advocacy is individuals committed to influencing positive changes in their lives, their communities and in their elected governments by making their personal stories and opinions known. Getting involved means calling, writing letters, sending emails, or even visiting your elected representatives who serve you in Pennsylvania and in Washington D.C.
You CAN make the changes happen.
Here's how:
1. Sign up to become an Arthritis Advocate and find a listing of your Federal, state and local representatives.
2. Follow the links to either email all of your representatives with one click or write to them individually.
3. You will also be able to get more information on you representative including biographical information, website address, information regarding sponsorship status on key legislation and current press releases.
4. Next you can choose a pre-composed message by the Arthritis Foundation or create your own.
5. Fill in the short email form and click "send" to make your voice heard.
For more information or to become more involved, please contact Ryan Lindsey at 717-763-0900 or rlindsey@arthritis.org.
