The 2008 Arthritis Walk Calendar features more than 30 drawings from kids across the country affected by arthritis. The drawings from the imaginations of children across the country reflect the theme for 2008: Stop Arthritis. Take Control. Go Walk.
If you would like to order a calendar, visit Arthritis Foundation Online Store or call 800-283-7800. The calendar costs just $5 and helps raise money and awareness for the 46 million adults and nearly 300,000 children affected by doctor-diagnosed arthritis.
Submit Your Art for the 2009 Calendar Today
The Arthritis Walk National Volunteer Committee is very excited to announce the beginning of our Arthritis Walk 2009 calendar art contest. Each year we hold an art contest asking kids under 18 years of age that have arthritis to draw an original picture for a chance to be in the Arthritis Walk calendar. After we receive all submissions, a panel of volunteers will choose a winning picture for the cover of the calendar as well as pictures for each month of the calendar. Winners of the contest will be announced at the JA conference this summer and calendars will be available for purchase at this time.
Details for this year’s calendar art contest are as follows:
Theme: Let’s Move Together: Walk, Bark & Roll!
Size: 8 ½”h x 11”w paper (standard sheet of paper)
Who: Any child living with arthritis under the age of 18 is eligible to enter.
Deadline: All entries must be postmarked by April 3, 2008 and sent to:
