What is the Arthritis Foundation, Pacific Region’s Barbara Pierce-Nord Fund?
The Barbara Pierce-Nord Fund is available to Arizona residents affected by arthritis, rheumatic diseases, or related musculoskeletal conditions who show financial need for an assistive device.
What are the Application Requirements?
Applicants must have some form of diagnosed arthritis, rheumatic disease, or related musculoskeletal condition and provide a Physician’s Certifying Statement. Applicants must show proof of financial need and detailed information about the type of assistive device needed.
How Much is the Award?
Up to $500 will be paid directly to the organization selling the assistive device. The terms established by the donor require that funds be utilized only for self-help devices and assistive equipment. The funds will be reviewed and distributed quarterly – March 31st, June 30th, September 30th and December 31st.
