Our mission is vital, and it cannot be fulfilled unless many join together with common goals. As a volunteer-driven organization, the Arthritis Foundation relies on the time, expertise and resources of volunteers at many levels.

Our local Leadership Councils work with staff and fellow volunteers to lead the way in the implementation of the Southeast Region’s strategic direction. We recognize and appreciate their commitment to make the pain and limitations of arthritis unacceptable in every community we serve.

Mobile Resident Announced as Member of National Rheumatoid Arthritis Alliance Leadership Group

Jennifer Partsch Ray has signed on to serve as a member of the Rheumatoid Arthritis Alliance Leadership Group (RAALG).  She will represent the Arthritis Foundation’s Southeast Region, which serves a six state area including Alabama.

At the age of 27, Jennifer was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.  At first she thought she was all alone with this disease as a young adult.  Now she knows that’s not the case, and she has become an active volunteer on the local level and national level with the Arthritis Foundation.

Members of the RAALG represent the needs of adults with Rheumatoid Arthritis to provide advice and counsel to the Arthritis Foundation in making sure the organization’s initiatives meet the needs of the estimated 1.3 million adults in America with this disease. Members work with Arthritis Foundation staff, serve as spokespeople, attend meetings throughout the year and work on rolling out new products and services through the Arthritis Foundation.

Jennifer attended University of South Alabama and was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 in Mobile during 2012. She is currently a Domestic Sales Manager for Xante Corporation and an active volunteer with the Arthritis Foundation, as well as activist for the disease.
