Taking on the Medicare Donut Hole: Checks in the Mail  Checks are in the mail or on their way for Medicare beneficiaries in the donut hole. The $250 rebate is one of the first benefits of the new health care law. By 2020 nobody will pay more than 25% of the cost of any drugs, including biologics, in the donut hole. Please call Medicare at 1-800-633-4227 or read here for more information. Officials warn Part D enrollees to carefully avoid anyone who claims to be from "the government" or from "Medicare" asking for personal information.
