The Advocacy Summit is an opportunity for advocates
to rally together as one voice on Capitol Hill, February 27-28, 2007. You
will meet
personally with your Members of Congress and their staff to share personal stories to
help them understand how arthritis affects your every day life and the importance of
cosponsoring the Arthritis Prevention, Control & Cure Act.
Advocates can also expect to:
-
Attend workshops to help you advance your advocacy skills
and understanding;
-
Learn tips on communicating with your elected officials;
-
Network with fellow advocates.

Kids’ Summit
Kids with arthritis are
expressly invited to attend the Summit. Activity sessions specifically designed
for children, including preparations for Capitol Hill visits, will be offered
concurrently with sessions for adults. We cannot care for kids younger than 5
years of age and expect kids who are 14 and older to attend the training session
with adults. All kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who also
registers for the Advocacy Summit.
