Kansas Chapter -- New Kansas Chapter president Dennis Bender met with Governor Kathleen Sebelius in Topeka prior to the opening session of the state legislature.  The visit was part of Bender’s extensive meeting schedule during his first 30 days representing the needs and interests of the 686,000 Kansans who live with various forms of arthritis.  During the visit, Bender reminded Governor Sebelius that the Arthritis Foundation emphasizes assess to care and affordability of prescription drugs as an important step in improving the lives of people contending with chronic diseases.  WIBW television (CBS) covered the meeting between the Governor, Bender and Patty Dick, executive director for the Kansas Chapter.
