David E. Shuey, ARM, is Executive Vice President of Willis Group and the North America Practice Leader for Life Sciences. He joined Willis in 1988 as leader of the Baltimore healthcare team.  He was a founding member of the Willis Life Sciences practice and has focused his career on serving the unique needs of the biotechnology and life sciences industries.

Prior to Willis, Shuey served in a management and new business development capacity for various insurance companies and brokerage firms.  Shuey holds an Advanced Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America.  He holds a Masters of Science in Business from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. 

Shuey frequently speaks to the healthcare and life sciences industries on risk management topics and has taught courses for the Insurance Institute and the American Society of Medical Law.  He is on the editorial board of the Pharmaceutical Outsourcing Report.

David has been involved with the Arthritis Foundation for 8 years and currently serves as the chair of the Board of Directors.  He also chairs the compensation & personnel committee and is a member of the mission committee.
