The Senior Director, Cause Development is accountable for initiating and managing relationships with national corporations, obtaining and increasing revenue, and increasing awareness of the Arthritis Foundation. The Senior Director will be responsible for identifying and initiating contact with existing and new corporate sponsors and service providers; developing cause marketing fundraising promotion concepts, and coordinating the implementation of approved corporate sponsored programs.  

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications or related field; plus a minimum of eight years experience in direct sales to national level Fortune 500 companies.  Must have proven ability to define, target and develop account relationships with the objective of maximizing fund raising potential from a corporate source.  Must have strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to present creative concepts and close business at high levels within a corporation. Position requires a proactive sales mindset as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple accounts.  Experience in cause marketing across multiple industries is a plus. Understanding of the non-profit environment or experience within is desirable.  Excellent written/oral communication skills and computer skills. (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) are a must. Ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines is essential.  Moderate travel is required.
