The Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes Region is seeking a part-time Community Development Manager for the Harrisburg, PA office. This position is responsible for planning,  marketing and  implementing  special fundraising events such as competitive run/walks and social events. Candidate must have the ability to sell corporate sponsorships, have excellent written and verbal communication skills; social media marketing skills; be organized and work independently.  Experience with walk/running events is an asset.


Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with special events experience preferred. Ability to organize event volunteers, including recruiting and training as assigned. Collaboration with volunteer committee to market events in order to grow revenue and attendance within budget parameters.. Proficiencies needed in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity in PowerPoint and Publisher.  Experience in Microsoft Office 2010 preferred.  Must work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with co-workers as needed.
