The Associate Director of Development is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, directing special events in the Metro DC and Maryland territory of the Mid Atlantic Region.  The Associate Director of Development maintains a close working relationship with the Director of Development for direction regarding local fund-raising activities. This position will maintain relationships with local business and community leaders, media representatives, etc. to promote area fund-raising activities. Assist the Director of Development with the creation of an annual fundraising plan Responsible for recruiting and supervising volunteers to assist with area fundraising activities.  Bachelor's degree plus one to three years successful fundraising experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Familiarity of the Bethesda Potomac and Kensington areas of Metro DC a plus.
