POSITION SUMMARY  

The Marketing Services Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, collaborative development, and implementation of revenue development programs in support of the Arthritis Foundation’s strategic objectives. The Marketing Services Manager will work closely with directors to anticipate and plan marketing and communications support for Corporate and Cause development and establish accountability. In this role, the Marketing Services Manager will meet all defined key performance indicators and demonstrate end results as a measure of success. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

1.      Facilitate strategic marketing planning with Corporate and Cause Development directors to support well-planned and executed content development, sponsorship placement, and marketing executions.

2.      Conduct annual and quarterly marketing and communications strategy sessions to support Development goals.

3.      Conduct weekly meetings to evaluate opportunities, collaborate on proposals, and evaluate results.

4.      Train and guide development leaders and staff to ensure the Arthritis Foundation is speaking with one voice and utilizing approved content and materials which comply with the Arthritis Foundation brand.

5.      Serve as cross-functional liaison to other areas within the Marketing Communications department to manage and support Development needs for content, communication, and event support; provide creative guidance and project management to ensure smooth implementation.

6.      Serve as the marketing communications primary point of contact for programs and campaigns. Responsible for marketing plan with measurable goals and to provide support in media relations, social media, and story/blog/video or other content creation.

7.      Manage and advise the development department of marketing communications initiatives.

8.      Direct the day-to-day work of corporate development and cause marketing campaigns to ensure consistency among projects and compliance with contracts and organizational and industry best practices.

9.      Collaborate with Development staff and leadership to establish and execute a communications and engagement strategy to introduce the Arthritis Foundation to new audiences and cultivate strong new relationships.

10.  Advocate internally for unique development needs for tools and materials to support their efforts.

11.  Monitor, track, and report on defined key performance indicators and demonstrate success of end results.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

1.      B.A. in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or related course of study; or related professional experience.

2.      Three+ years experience in marketing, agency client services, or business development, with evidence of successful marketing plan development and implementation.

3.      Strong work ethic, professional, well organized, independent, and a self-starter

4.      A solutions-oriented, bright and enthusiastic team player.

5.      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6.      Available to travel with advance notice.
